High meadows await
Gressoney is a popular destination in the Summer for it’s breathtaking views and mild weather. Some come up for the many trekking trails or for a week of relaxation in the stunning nature. Where they are sure to spot the wild Ibex which is the symbol of the area. Beautiful walking trails, rock climbing walls, and mountain climbing trips make it a haven for mountain lovers.

Other activities to indulge in are tennis, fishing, mountain biking, rafting, golf and parks for the children.
Fishing
Fish minutes away from Gressoney-Saint-Jean’s centre, among pines in Lake Gover that provides a splended view of the Monte Rosa.
Trekking
Relax and bond with nature by going on the many walking trails designed for all tastes. Some itineraries are pleasant and easy, like taking a walk by the river Lys. Others might be a tad longer and more tiring. However, what ever you choose the reward will be discovering the extraordinary colours and charm of the medows filled with wild life and peace.
If you are a more earnest trekker contact the Alpine guides for excursions which might take you to routes in excess of 3,000 m in altitude at certain points such as the famous Tour du Mont Rose which passes through the valleys of Gressoney, Ayas and Valtournenche.
Some possible one-day excursions are Staffal-Alta Luce or Gressoney la Trinite’ Col Bettaforca or Lys Glacier and many more.
Canyoning
Canyoning is a part water, part mountain sport that consists of following a descent on the small mountain streams, which are often enclosed between high, rocky walls, and overcoming obstacles on your way using specific techniques: and with the assistance of a professional, mountain guide. Golf
Gressoney Golf Club was founded in 1994 and open from June to October.
A nine-hole golf course, 4.406m long, putting green, caddies, pro shop and a practice camp. Play golf underneath the imposing Monte Rosa.
